I have to be honest: When I find a website design that makes great use of illustration, I get really jealous. Illustration is not a skill I possess. Anyone can use popular icon sets, buy popular themes, or even use the same stock photos or illustrations. But those creative professionals who can generate unique illustrations really have a leg up on the competition. And this French designer’s online portfolio pops in a completely distinctive way thanks to his typographic illustration on the homepage. Illustration can be a dominant element or a small supporting detail. This site of the day is beautiful, unique and perhaps most important, memorable.
